Christmas is CRACKERS!
Bonbons are an integral part of our Christmas tradition. Bad jokes, ill-fitting hats, cheap and nasty presents: it has our name written all over it.
I decided to right the wrong that is Christmas crackers. Lincraft had some sweet DIY packs and I knew I could hunt down some teeny tiny gifts around Melbourne. As with most craft projects, I got more than a little carried away.
My gifts include egg cups, spatulas, manicure kits, orange peelers, napkin rings, tea strainers and measuring spoons. They're all inexpensive and easy to find. The most important thing is that they don't poke out the side of the cracker - like a cocktail stirrer that fell out the side at one Christmas event recently!
Making the crackers is self explanatory. If you have one of these kits, you really don't need to purchase anything other than the gifts. From experience, don't include anything that can break a glass or wound a child - it's not pretty on Christmas day.
